Your mission

This position is based in Dundalk, Ireland.
Key responsibilities
- Assess demand signals by evaluating sales orders, customer trends, and predictive forecasts to determine necessary stock levels
- Utilise ERP protocols within the enterprise resource planning framework to calculate and review procurement needs
- Initiate replenishment actions through purchase orders to align with operational manufacturing targets
- Coordinate delivery adjustments in response to technical design updates or modifications in the production lineup
- Regulate optimal supply levels by balancing safety stock thresholds to hit designated turnover objectives
- Mitigate financial exposure by monitoring and flagging materials at risk of becoming stagnant or outdated
- Assist with physical verification efforts alongside logistics personnel to resolve variances via cycle counting
- Issue rolling delivery forecasts to suppliers to ensure production capacity and maintain consistent material flow
- Actively track pending supply chain commitments to identify and resolve potential disruptions using established escalation procedures
- Address chronic logistical errors by analyzing how consistently suppliers meet established arrival benchmarks
- Partner with transport entities to streamline incoming shipments and reduce expenditure on expedited freight.
What we are looking for
- Degree qualification in a business/material planning-related discipline preferred; candidates with significant relevant industry experience will also be considered
- Some years productions experience as purchaser or line power supplier
- Logistic or warehouse management experience
- Strong data interpretation capabilities, with expertise in navigating intricate production spreadsheets and operational metrics
- Advanced technical knowledge of Material Requirements Planning principles and ERP systems like SAP or LN
- Demonstrated agility in resolving challenges arising from vendor cancellations or rapid shifts in consumer demand
- Professional interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration between technical teams and international supply partners.
