The Sr. Hydro Technician is responsible for hydro testing components in the manufacturing process.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operate hydrostatic testing equipment to evaluate the structural integrity of pipelines, tanks, and pressure vessels.
- Prepare test systems by cleaning, sealing, and filling with water or other approved test mediums.
- Monitor pressure gauges, record readings, and identify any leaks or weaknesses during testing.
- Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports for engineering and quality teams.
- Follow strict safety protocols and environmental regulations during all testing activities.
- Collaborate with field crews, welders, and inspectors to ensure seamless testing operations.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in hydrostatic or pressure testing, preferably in oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pumps, valves, and pressure systems.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail under high-pressure situations.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
