As the HR Manager, you’ll shape the employee experience on site - partnering directly with plant leadership, union representatives, and cross-functional teams to build strong relationships, develop leaders, and foster a culture where people and performance thrive together.
What You’ll Do
Be a trusted partner to plant leaders, aligning people strategies with business goals and delivering practical HR solutions
Partner across the organization, including plant leadership, Health, Safety & Environment, Operations, Legal, and across the HR function to ensure alignment and consistency
Interpret and administer the collective bargaining agreement fairly and consistently
Partner closely with Payroll to ensure accurate and compliant application of the collective bargaining agreement, including proper handling of pay practices, premiums, and contractual obligations
Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture
Lead hiring, development, and succession planning to build strong teams
Coach leaders in real time to strengthen performance management, employee relations, and leadership effectiveness
Support leaders in navigating union-related and complex employee situations with sound judgment
Provide insights on team dynamics to strengthen communication, trust, and collaboration
Lead change initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts
Ensure compliance with regulations and reinforce a strong safety culture
Use data and insights to improve HR processes and drive business value

Required Qualifications
7+ years of HR experience in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environments
Bachelor's degree in HR, business or technical discipline
Experience in a unionized setting and familiarity with labor relations
Strong employee relations expertise
Ability to influence leaders and build relationships across stakeholders
Hands-on, pragmatic approach with plant-floor presence
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in HR Management, PHR, or SPHR
Ability to build trust across union partners, employees, and leadership
Demonstrated collaboration and problem-solving skills
Balanced approach with empathy and accountability
Curious, approachable, and solutions-oriented mindset
The base salary range for this role is $104,600 to $156,800 annually.
