
Architectural Technologist
Job Description
The Architectural Technologist is responsible for developing and coordinating detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, integrating cross‑functional inputs to ensure design standards, building codes, and project timelines are met, while supporting retail project delivery through accurate technical documentation, visualizations, and collaboration with project managers, procurement, and external consultants.
What You'll Do:
- Frequent communication and coordination between procurement, construction project managers, and stakeholders to ensure standards and timelines are adhered to.
- Production of design and construction drawings using AutoCAD
- Gathering all inputs to be captured in the project drawings package in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Assisting with maintenance of AutoCAD manual standards, Prototypes drawings, specifications & block libraries
- Producing 2D and 3D presentations and renderings when required
- Interior and exterior graphics coordination
- Overall support to the team when required.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach to work
- High-quality standards, strong attention to detail and proven ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+years of related work experience, specifically with experience in Retail Design
- Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Interior Design or equivalent
- Adobe Photoshop and Sketchup considered an asset.
- Strong design and technical CAD drafting (proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, knowledge in ArchiCAD, various CAD software, and SketchUp is an asset)
- Working knowledge of the interior-built environment. Working knowledge of drafting standards, layouts, and conventions
- Experience working in commercial buildings.
- Experience coordinating with outside consultants.
- Knowledge of various relevant Building Codes, Accessibility requirements and the ability to research municipal and federal built environment and documentation requirements.
- Working knowledge of coordinating drawing documentation with coordinating professionals and ability to read and understand consultant’s documentation accurately.
- Ability to work in a highly flexible work environment in both remote and in person collaborative office.
- Creative and courageous, with the ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity to help us take bold, strategic moves in this rapidly evolving retail environment.
- Superior communication, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Our typical hiring range is between $53,000.00 and $88,000.00 CAD Annual. The target salary range is between $60,000.00 and $70,000.00 CAD Annual. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
