Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and lead a team of data analysts, ensuring delivery excellence, performance management, and capability development.
- Oversee the execution of analytics projects, including data extraction, transformation, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop dashboards, MIS reporting, and performance tracking frameworks aligned with business needs.
- Support business leaders with insights to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and revenue performance.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting outputs.
- Drive automation and process improvements in reporting and analytics workflows.
- Implement and maintain data governance standards and best practices.
- Contribute to analytics strategy and roadmap in alignment with function and organizational goals.
Relationship Management
- Partner with business stakeholders (Operations, Finance, HR, IT, Retail and Trading teams) to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
- Build strong working relationships with mid to senior-level stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data availability and system alignment.
- Coordinate with external vendors where required for tools, reporting, or benchmarking support.
Communication
- Present data insights in a structured and business-friendly manner to stakeholders.
- Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership reviews.
- Simplify complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of deliverables and project updates.
General
- Ensure adherence to company policies, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Promote a data-driven culture within the team and wider organization.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in analytics capabilities.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging analytics tools and practices.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL, Excel, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Good understanding of data structures, ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes, and reporting systems.
- Proven experience in team handling and delivery management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on analytics with team leadership responsibilities.
- Exposure to domain-specific analytics (e.g., retail, fintech, travel) is an advantage.
