As Healthy Living prepares to open our newest store in Clifton Park, we're looking for a Staff Experience Generalist to help build a strong workplace from the ground up. In this role, you'll partner with leaders and team members to create a positive employee experience, support recruiting and onboarding efforts, foster a strong culture, and help ensure our newest team has everything they need to succeed from day one.
About the Role
We're looking for a Staff Experience Generalist to help create a supportive employee experience across the entire team member lifecycle. This role blends traditional HR responsibilities with a strong focus on culture, engagement, employee support, and operational excellence.
As a trusted partner to employees and leaders, you'll play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and people programs that help our team thrive. You'll support team members throughout their employment journey while utilizing the systems and processes that keep our organization running smoothly.
What You'll Do
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and support needs.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building activities.
- Gather employee feedback and help implement improvements that enhance the employee experience.
HR Operations
- Manage and continuously improve onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant, and employee-friendly.
Employee Relations
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on workplace issues.
- Assist with performance management processes, coaching conversations, and development planning.
- Help investigate and resolve employee concerns while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Compliance & Policies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee handbook policies and HR documentation.
- Support audits, reporting requirements, and recordkeeping practices.
Talent & Organizational Support
- Partner with hiring managers and recruiting teams to support hiring and onboarding efforts.
- Assist with workforce planning, training initiatives, and career development programs.
- Contribute to people-focused projects and organizational initiatives that support company growth.
Location: Clifton Park, NY
Reports To: Director of People & Experience
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $64,000 - $66,635
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and employee relations.
- Experience supporting employees throughout the full employee lifecycle.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience supporting a growing organization.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and people analytics.
- Experience leading employee engagement, culture, or DEI initiatives.
