
Childcare Coordinator - Part-time (Reservoir Campus)
Job Description
SUMMARY
The Childcare Coordinator is to be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all the Paid Childcare Ministries at Pinelake. This part- time role includes staffing, supervision, budget management, policies, and procedures of compliance, maintaining enrollment levels, and ensuring a safe, secure, and clean environment for attendees and employees.

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Cultivate awareness of God’s presence in everyday life, listening to the Holy Spirit and responding in obedience.
- Keeping the Childcare Ministry safe by shepherding servant leaders through Pinelake’s Our House Promise safety policy and ensuring that policy is implemented at all times.
- Creatively plan, oversee, and evaluate all components of the Paid Childcare Ministry (including Mother’s Morning Out, MMO) to include standards of excellence in staffing, curriculum, and childcare.
- Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws to include; interviewing, hiring, and evaluating performance; rewarding and correcting employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and administering payroll, vacation/paid time off and other personnel procedures in accordance with established accounting and human resources policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative duties such as compiling reports regarding childcare.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train quality employees on an on-going basis; oversee Our House Promise approvals and submission of all new employee documentation.
- Implement age-appropriate lessons and crafts for each childcare event.
- Work with childcare team to implement curriculum.
- Responsible for shepherding, supervision, and ministry of all childcare staff.
- Equip, lead, and motivate the childcare staff to do the best job possible.
- Maintain classroom ratios.
- Conduct regular planning meetings with childcare staff.
- Responsible for maintaining and assuring the safety of the staff and children.
- Maintain Resource Room and supplies
- Perform other duties assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will supervise all paid childcare workers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
College degree preferred. Two to five years of work experience overseeing staff.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The individual must be able to understand written or oral instructions; read, analyze, and interpret documents, instructions manuals, and policies and procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people, communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, e-mail and in person, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
The individual must have demonstrated skill in the use of PC systems to complete tasks, including word processing and spreadsheets and the ability to use the internet for information retrieval. The individual must have basic mathematical skills, knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting, and budget and expense monitoring. The individual must have the ability to read financial information and spreadsheets.
REASONING ABILITY
The individual must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
