DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Plant Engineering Department at the UW Medical Center – Northwest helps UW Medicine fulfill its mission to improve the health of the public by ensuring general maintenance and repairs are completed efficiently and quickly to maintain a safe patient care environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs minor maintenance and repairs throughout the hospital
  • Move furniture, cleans work areas, stocks shelves and replaces light bulbs
  • Assists Senior Engineers, Carpenters, Painters and Electricians with troubleshooting and repairs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years of maintenance experience
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$25.31 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$36.76 hourly
