Job Description
This position is responsible for operating and maintaining a biomass boiler and 4 dry kilns. They are also responsible for performing general plant maintenance and inspections. Our mill operates 24/7, and will require working 12-hour shifts on a day/night continental rotation. Weekly pay schedule. Health, drug, dental insurance. Company match RRSP.
- Daily inspections to visually verify that all equipment is functioning properly around the plant
- Small repairs requiring the use of small hand tools and preventative maintenance
- Perform ongoing system checks and ensuring they are properly logged, including checking temperature, pressure and water levels, etc
- Monitor various pressures, temperatures, flow levels, sensors, and troubleshooting alarms associated with the equipment
- Ensure general housekeeping and maintain equipment standards
- Must hold a Class 3 Power Engineer license
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment required
- Familiarity with safety protocols and operational best practices specific to industrial boiler and kiln
- Capacity to effectively collaborate with team members
