Genesys is hiring a director-level sales professional for a strategic management role as Sr. Director Public, Utilities, Life Sciences and Service Provider (PULS) in Germany.
This strategic Director role is working closely with every Account Manager on a project/account level basis to create long lasting account relationships generating strategic and/or big deals in the German Public, Utilities, Life Sciences and Service Provider segment.
The Sales Director for these highly regulated and KRITIS industries owns the GTM, team management, market outcomes and related ecosystems for these verticals holistically.
Working in close collaboration with the Country Manager & Sales Leader Germany and all other territory relevant management functions, the strategic Director will also closely collaborate with independent consultants, transformational and other partners (especially AWS & Salesforce) to create the right eco-system to foster big enterprise deals in specifics accounts and or projects.
This person shall not only guide and coach the Genesys involved persons in such deals/account situations, but also represent Genesys to the senior management of involved (transformational) partners, consultants and the customer.
Building strong relationship networks relevant for the Enterprise sales in Germany is also part of the job.
What we look for and expect from the right individual is:
- Lead an industry-focused team of 5-6 people and enable this team for growth
- Form a unique and value-driven go-to-client strategy and ecosystem
- Establish Genesys as they key player in highly regulated markets and grow with a unique EU-based ecosystem where you strongly partner with AWS
- Tracking pipeline and calling forecast for their industry team on a weekly basis
- Qualifying engagement requests and assigning team resources to optimize efficiency and drive value
- Being the Genesys expert for trends, opportunities, and threats in their industry, with local focus and global alignment
- Holding peer-level relationships with C-Level executives
- Reviewing accounts/projects with each AE and supporting to create the right strategy to maximize the value of deals and win deals.
- Establishing a reliable network for the PULS segment between partners, transformational partners, independent consultants, and technology partners of Genesys to raise the ability to execute and to position Genesys in top management decided projects.
- Supporting AEs as needed in the senior level execution of deals (e.g. by doing senior management meetings/presentations, participate in SteerCos etc.)
- Represent Genesys in general sales and marketing activities (e.g. conferences, fairs & industry-specific networks/platforms/communities).
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar education
- 10+ years professional experience with demonstratable success in big enterprises
- 5+ years professional experience in a people manager and team leader role
- History of talent acquisition, team motivation, and overall performance, especially in complex enterprise sales, SaaS/cloud sales, management consulting, industry practitioner and/or other similar fields
- Experience managing diverse & remote teams
- Proven experience and knowledge in industries as Healthcare, Government, Life Sciences & Utilities
- Proven experience with public awarding/procurement processes and EVB-IT Cloud
- Strong relationship into the AWS network and organization
- Committed, proactive, team-oriented and stress-tested
- Positive, Motivated, Self-starter with a can-do attitude & strong sense of ownership over their engagements. Willingness to do the heavy lifting to get to a better result more quickly. Enthusiastic collaborator.
- Self-assured appearance and excellence presentation skills – especially suited for senior/top management level.
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong success and problem-solving orientation
- Willingness to travel frequently and as required
