The Ohio Department of Taxation is seeking to fill one (1) Human Capital Management Administrator 1 position in the Human Resources Division.
What You’ll do as the Human Capital Management Administrator 1:
- Lead and manage the Agency’s full labor relations portfolio, overseeing complex employee discipline matters.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership and Union partners, driving informed decisions on performance, discipline, collective bargaining, and dispute resolution.
- Act as a key operational partner and back‑up to the HR Administrator, ensuring continuity across critical Human Resources functions.
- Oversee and continuously enhance key HR programs ensuring collaboration, clear communication, and a strong customer-focus remain central to our mission.
- Support and influence Agency-wide policy development to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.

Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 36 mos. exp. in human resources management or administration which included 18 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or managerial principles & techniques.
-Or completion of graduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 24 mos. exp. in human resources management or administration which included 18 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or managerial principles & techniques.
-Or 12 mos. exp. as Human Capital Management Manager, 64615.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check.
