We are seeking a Service Technician to join our maintenance team at a 762-unit apartment community in Woodridge, IL. As a Service Technician, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the community, completing service requests, preparing apartment homes for new residents, and helping ensure the property remains safe, attractive, and well-maintained. As a Service Technician, you will be expected to:
Complete service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner
Diagnose and perform repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and general maintenance
Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents, including repairs, cleaning, and make-ready activities
Assist with maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of grounds, common areas, and amenities
Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues
Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
Assist with snow removal, salting, and severe weather preparation when required
Support fire safety systems including smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and door/lock hardware
Work closely with fellow team members and office staff to provide an outstanding resident experience
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to emergency maintenance situations within required timeframes
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop and work environment
Safely use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials necessary to complete daily tasks
Compensation & Incentives:
Base Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
$15 per day for On-Call schedule
$300 in Morgan Essentials (paid out quarterly)

Hours & Schedule:
Monday- Friday: 8 AM- 5 PM
Paid rotating on-call participation required
Must be available for emergency maintenance response, snow removal, and severe weather events
Overtime may be required based on property needs
What We'll Expect From You:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
1+ year of maintenance, construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related trade experience preferred
Working knowledge of general maintenance repairs and troubleshooting preferred
Strong customer service skills and commitment to resident satisfaction
