
Business Development Manager (Cleveland, OH)
Job Description
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Business Development Manager to join our Specialized Recruiting Group team in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you’ll generate new business, grow existing client relationships, and promote SRG’s services across a variety of professional disciplines. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and Recruiting team to ensure clients receive exceptional service and talent solutions.

This position is based in our Cleveland, OH office and requires on-site attendance five days per week, as well as regular time spent in the market meeting with clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and community involvement
- Conduct client meetings (virtually and in-person) to understand workforce needs and present tailored solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to signed service agreements
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term client partnerships through regular check-ins, performance reviews, and strategic conversations
- Serve as a consultative partner to hiring managers
- Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution
Collaboration & Strategic Support
- Work closely with the Recruiting team to align client expectations with candidate delivery
- Provide market intelligence, feedback, and insights to guide recruiting strategies
- Participate in marketing initiatives and networking events to elevate SRG’s brand visibility
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and client interactions in the CRM system
- Track key performance metrics and contribute to office revenue goals
- Ensure all processes are aligned with company standards and compliance requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of professional talent solutions business development in IT and/or Engineering strongly preferred
- Proven success in prospecting, closing sales, and exceeding revenue targets
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities
- A team player with a customer-first mindset and a drive to deliver value
