
Material Movement Coordinator
Job Description
As a Material Movement Coordinator, you'll accomplish on-time completions for reliability by planning, coordinating, and controlling priorities and the production of parts produced for internal and external customers. You will problem-solve with the assistance of other team members and seek continuous improvement. You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, lead others, and be an owner every day.
- Communicate effectively with other Flow Coordinators, Supervisors, and Managers to determine order priority, delayed materials, or parts, and completed components.
- Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
- Set clear schedules to follow to obtain productive workflow by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
- Partner to create/improve work order flow processes from Production Control through manufacturing flow paths.
- Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
- Monitor, track, and move parts as required through the production flow to ensure timely delivery to next production location.
- Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
- Coordinate physical movement of parts through receiving inspection, stock rooms, purchasing, production resources or any applicable work center.
- Assist production leadership and project teams with action items.
- Work with the planning, procurement, and production teams to ensure our MRP/ERP data is and remains clean and accurate.
- Assist with resolution of incorrect system data, which is driving inappropriate demand, or schedules.
- Provide accurate and detailed information from the JD Edwards operating system for production managers that is used to support business decisions.
- Back up Material Planners on scheduling manufacturing work orders across all product lines.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Prior experience in inventory management, production flow and leveling, production systems and tools, manufacturing challenges, and supplier/customer relationship management, a plus.
