
Specimen Processor II, per diem (7:30am to 4pm availability preferred)
Job Description
MAIN FUNCTION: Provides all aspects of clerical and routine clinical functions for the department. Processes patient specimens and/or reports. Performs phlebotomy duties at hospital, offsite blood drawing stations, SNFs, assisted living facilities, and home draws. Draws blood specimens from patients, venous and capillary. Orders tests, performs patient registration and related responsibilities. EDUCATION: High school graduate. Graduate of recognized Medical Assistance program; and/or graduate of a certified phlebotomy program. Maintains National Phlebotomy certification. EXPERIENCE: 1 yr. experience in phlebotomy; related experience in specimen processing. Experience with LIS/HIS systems preferred. Medical terminology expe
