This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing U.S. operation and help build the foundation for quality and continuous improvement practices at the site. The Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Coordinator will be close to both the process and the product, helping ensure quality expectations are met while also supporting Lean and CI initiatives across the operation.
What You’ll Do
The Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Coordinator will support product and process excellence by helping maintain quality standards, inspecting materials and finished goods, improving documentation, and leading continuous improvement activities. This role will partner closely with production employees, site leadership, and cross-functional teams to drive consistency, accountability, and operational improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspect incoming materials, purchased components, in-process product, and finished goods to ensure they meet established quality and testing standards.
- Monitor daily production quality, follow up on nonconformities, and support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Track, analyze, and communicate quality data, KPIs, defects, test results, process indicators, and quality trends.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance programs, policies, forms, and documentation.
- Update and maintain assembly line work instructions, production procedures, and quality-related documentation.
- Lead and support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and waste reduction activities.
- Help plan, implement, and sustain standardized processes that support quality, productivity, lead time, and competitiveness.
- Provide training and support to employees on quality, Lean, and CI tools, concepts, and best practices.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Partner with employees and departments to identify improvement opportunities and coordinate process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the corporate Lean team and Marmon partners to support alignment, reporting, and communication.
- Support the selection, calibration, and proper use of quality control equipment, including inspection gauges.
- Guide vendors and contractors on quality requirements, testing procedures, and corrective actions when needed.
- Contribute to customer support activities related to quality, compliance, and product expectations.
- Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement across the site.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related field; equivalent work experience may also be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, Lean, continuous improvement, or operational excellence.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong quality assurance experience with exposure to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience inspecting materials, in-process product, and finished goods.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify quality issues, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and support process improvements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with quality systems and quality documentation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Ability to work independently, stay self-motivated, and help build processes in a growing operation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, adapt, and manage multiple deadlines.

What Will Set You Apart
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
- Experience with Visio or other process mapping tools.
- Green Belt certification or other Lean/Six Sigma training.
- Strong knowledge of production optimization tools such as Kaizen, Kanban, value stream mapping, value-added/non-value-added analysis, and 5S.
- Experience leading or supporting Kaizen events and CI projects.
- Prior experience in HVAC, custom manufacturing, or a related production environment.
- Experience working in a new or growing operation where processes are still being built and refined.
- Ability to motivate, train, and influence employees to adopt new tools, processes, and improvement practices.
