Your Role at Baxter
The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring supplier quality performance through effective oversight, problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities.
This role works cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers to ensure materials, components, and services meet company quality requirements and applicable regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 9001).
The Sr. SQE applies strong technical knowledge in manufacturing processes and quality systems to support supplier qualification, issue resolution, and performance monitoring, with a focus on compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing
Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues, including nonconformances and SCARs, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Support review and implementation of supplier changes (e.g., process changes, material changes), ensuring appropriate risk assessment and documentation.
Execute supplier qualification and requalification activities, including supplier onboarding and ongoing evaluation.
Monitor supplier performance metrics (scorecards) and drive follow-up actions to address gaps in quality or delivery performance.
Support and participate in supplier audits (internal/external), including preparation, execution, and closure of findings.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support validation and qualification activities related to supplier processes and components.
Apply structured problem-solving tools to address recurring supplier quality issues.
Participate in Supplier Quality Management activities and provide input into supplier performance reviews.
Ensure supplier documentation (e.g., quality agreements, specifications) is current and compliant.
Support risk assessment activities for suppliers and contribute to mitigation actions as needed.
Participate in Design for Excellence (DFx) or similar activities to ensure supplier manufacturability and quality considerations are addressed.
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or quality engineering (regulated industry preferred).
Basic to intermediate knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Experience with supplier audits, QMS processes, and continuous improvement tools is preferred.
Advance level of English.
