At Children's Wisconsin, every detail matters especially in the operating room. Behind every life saving procedure is a team dedicated not only to care, but to creating a spotless, safe and welcoming environment.
That's where you come in....this role supports patient care by providing a clean and safe environment in the Operating Rooms. Assist in daily activities of surgical services including, but not limited to the operating room, special procedure rooms, PACU, and day surgery. Duties include housekeeping, instrument processing, inventory and stocking duties, and cleaning and maintenance of Operating Room equipment. Additionally, assisting patients, family members and/or visitors with movement from inpatient floors and throughout surgical services.
This position requires:
High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) Requires the level of technical knowledge normally acquired through completion of high school Required
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required.
Requires analytical skills in order to identify problems, troubleshoot and find the most efficient solutions to problems.
Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care team
Ability to prioritize duties regarding patient transport, operating suite needs, and room turnover
Hours: Monday through Friday 2pm-10pm, includes a weekend and holiday rotation.
