In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data systems, ensuring high data quality, and contributing to advanced data-driven solutions. You will also play a key role in supporting operations and mentoring junior team members. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and data systems Transform and transfer data across multiple platforms and environments Monitor workflows and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality Handle complex data-related issues and provide technical solutions Support L2 requests and perform operational data activities Contribute to data governance and continuous improvement processes Analyze workflows and identify efficiency improvements Mentor and support junior team members Collaborate with internal stakeholders and ensure clear communication Qualifications 5–7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Support roles Strong experience with data platforms, data lakes, and data architectures Advanced knowledge of SQL (e.g., Spark SQL, T-SQL, PL-SQL) Good knowledge of Python / PySpark Strong understanding of data transformations and data quality management Experience in data governance and workflow monitoring Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Power BI Nice to have: Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Snowflake Knowledge of cloud storage solutions (S3, Azure Blob Storage) Experience with APIs and tools such as Postman Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management Proactive, autonomous, and well-organized Ability to manage complex environments and escalate when needed Additional information Location: Mauritius Seniority level: Mid-Senior Start date: September 2026 Work in an international and dynamic environment Opportunity to collaborate with global clients and cutting-edge technologies Continuous learning and career development opportunities within PGD
