Role summary
Your responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Provide business insights through variance analysis, profitability studies, and cost management.
- Partner with business heads to support decision-making.
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, cost centre allocations, accruals and provisions.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books.
- Strengthen internal controls and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and present financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards to CFO and leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Companies Act, etc.).
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure proper accounting, reconciliation and control of inventory and fixed assets
- Coordinate periodic physical verification of inventory and fixed assets
- Monitor inventory ageing and provisions
- Ensure adequate documentation and audit trail for asset and inventory-related transactions
- Treasury management, including cash & liquidity planning
- Manage day-to-day banking operations and relationships
- Monitor receivables, payables and overall working capital position
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration between finance and other departments.
Create standardised processes
- Develop and document standardized processes for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Taxation, Treasury, and General Ledger.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies for finance operations.
- Establish internal controls to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
- Responsible for process designing, implementation, and management of SAP B1 across finance operations, and automation of processes
- Responsible for banking operations and risk management.
Your profile
- Chartered Accountant with 7 to 9 years of post-qualification experience.
- Prior experience in footwear, apparel, retail, or FMCG manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, Ind-AS, GST, direct/indirect taxation, and compliance.
- Proven experience in financial planning, cost control, and business partnering.
- Hands-on exposure to ERP systems (SAP B1, SAP S4HANA) and advanced Excel functions.
- Strong budgeting and reporting skills
- Experience in managing P&L lines such as product, channel, marketing, etc
