
Aero Repair Supervisor- Aeroderivative Components- 3rd Shift
Job Description
- Direct and coordinate daily repair and overhaul activities for aeroderivative turbine components (LM2500, LM6000, and similar).
- Assign work, manage priorities, and monitor progress to meet schedule and turnaround targets.
- Ensure compliance with repair documentation, technical instructions, and PROENERGY’s safety and quality standards.
- Support production planning to align manpower, tooling, and parts availability with workload demands.
- Review work scopes, repair plans, and engineering instructions to verify accuracy and compliance.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during the repair process.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections for quality assurance and completeness.
- Coordinate with Quality and Engineering to resolve nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
Team Management & Development
- Supervise, train, and coach technicians to maintain high skill levels and adherence to best practices.
- Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify opportunities for cross-training and upskilling.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive efficiency, process reliability, and cost reduction initiatives within the repair shop.
- Participate in Lean activities to improve workflow and reduce waste.
- Recommend process or tooling improvements to enhance repair capability and turnaround.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all EHS policies and ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Lead by example in promoting a zero-incident safety culture.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide daily progress updates, production metrics, and status reports to management.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams including Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain.
- Represent the repair area during audits, customer visits, and internal reviews.
- Associate’s degree in aerospace or FAA Repairman, preferred; equivalent technical experience accepted.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in aeroderivative turbine component repair (LM series preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity within an MRO or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of turbine component repair methods (blending, coating, welding, machining, Heat Treating, Blasting).
- Familiar with OEM technical manuals (GEK, CEBs, SBs) and repair documentation standards.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
