About the Role:

The Manager, Behavioral Health Technicians plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the daily operations and performance of a team of behavioral health technicians within a healthcare or community service setting. This position is responsible for ensuring that the team delivers high-quality, compassionate care and support to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges. The manager will develop and implement training programs, monitor compliance with clinical protocols, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Additionally, the role involves managing staffing schedules, addressing performance issues, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Ultimately, the manager ensures that behavioral health technicians are equipped, motivated, and guided to provide effective interventions that promote recovery and well-being for clients served across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working directly with behavioral health patients or clients.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles, crisis intervention techniques, and patient care standards.
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet any state-specific licensing or certification requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master’s degree in behavioral health, counseling, social work, or healthcare administration.
  • Experience managing behavioral health technicians or similar frontline clinical staff.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data reporting tools.
  • Certification in behavioral health management or related professional credentials.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and coordinating care across services.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of behavioral health technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement training and professional development programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to behavioral health services.
  • Coordinate with clinical supervisors, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate integrated care plans.
  • Manage staffing schedules, workload distribution, and resource allocation to maintain optimal service delivery.
  • Address and resolve staff performance issues, conflicts, and concerns in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators and quality metrics related to behavioral health technician activities.
  • Promote a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement within the behavioral health technician team.
