Job Description
Position Summary This position is principal contributor for a large statewide research and implementation science portfolio focused on improving access to abortion, reproductive and obstetric health care overseeing day-to-day management of the Radiant Fellowship, a clinician training program that prepares physicians and advanced practice clinicians to integrate abortion care into primary care and emergency care settings. The position will provide operational leadership for complex research and implementation activities, including coordination of clinical training organizing complex educational and dissemination activities in collaboration with faculty/fellows/community partners, stakeholder engagement including cultivating partnerships with sexual and reproductive health stakeholders across Illinois, logistics, communications, and dissemination for a large-scale emergency obstetric and reproductive health project. Duties Responsibilities • Serve as the central project manager for Radiant Fellowship. • Coordinate project operations across research, implementation, training, and stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and communications remain aligned across teams and partners. • Support implementation of a multi-site project involving emergency department trainings, clinical champions, state-based coordination, and cross-institutional collaboration. • Manage day-to-day operations including fellow communication, scheduling, onboarding, seminar coordination, training support, and longitudinal program tracking. • Work closely with Radiant fellows, faculty, and clinical partners to support clinician training in abortion care integration within primary care settings. • Build and maintain strong relationships with sexual and reproductive health and abortion stakeholders across Illinois, including clinicians, advocates, trainers, organizational partners, and professional networks. • Organize seminars, trainings, and educational events on topics relevant to the abortion and broader sexual and reproductive health community. • Procure and coordinate supplies for abortion trainings, including communication and contracting with vendors and management of training materials and logistics. • Prepare presentations, materials, and other dissemination products for regional and national meetings, including the Society of Family Planning and National Abortion Federation . • Assist with development of slide decks, reports, summaries, and external-facing materials for research, training, and stakeholder audiences. • Support networking, partnership development, and outreach activities that strengthen the Center’s visibility and collaborative infrastructure across Illinois and beyond. • Coordinate meetings with internal and external partners, including clinicians, implementation partners, advisory groups, and community stakeholders. • Track project milestones, meeting outputs, training documentation, and implementation activities across workstreams. • Help synthesize materials across research and implementation teams, supporting efficient workflows and consistent communication. • Contribute to dissemination, reporting, and program growth related to both the emergency care implementation portfolio and the Radiant Fellowship. • May act as supervisor or team lead in directing and coordinating the work of lower-level staff. Guide, train and advise lower-level researchers and students on techniques, methods and procedures. • Plan, assign and review work of staff to ensure that group objectives are met. Hire, train, develop and manage staff to ensure that a qualified staff exists to meet group objectives. • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
