Responsibilities:
1. Product Introduction & Due Diligence
- Source and evaluate financial products (structured products, funds, ETFs, fixed income) for platform onboarding.
- Conduct end-to-end due diligence on product providers covering strategy, fees, liquidity, risk profile, and regulatory suitability.
- Prepare product assessment reports with recommendations for approval.
- Build and maintain the platform product universe; establish and refine product eligibility and review frameworks.
2. Product Research & Analysis
- Track market trends, asset class developments, and the regulatory environment (SFC, HKMA) to inform product strategy.
- Produce research reports, product commentaries, and analytical materials for internal and distribution use.
- Benchmark the platform's product suite against market peers and identify gaps or enhancement opportunities.
- Support front-office and distribution teams with product-related training and presentation materials.
3. Note Product Issuance & Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the full issuance process for structured notes, from term sheet negotiation and documentation to settlement.
- Coordinate with issuers, legal counsel, trustees, and custodians on deal execution and regulatory filings.
- Configure note products on the platform (payoff structures, coupon schedules, barrier events, early redemption triggers).
- Monitor post-issuance events including coupon payments, barrier observations, and lifecycle actions; maintain issuance register.
4. Cross-functional Coordination & Client Solutions
- Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Operations to drive product approval and go-to-market execution.
- Liaise with front-office and relationship managers to match product offerings with institutional client requirements.
- Respond to product-related client and internal queries in a clear and timely manner.
- Contribute to platform product workflow design and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, investment research, or structured products within a bank, securities firm, or WealthTech platform.
- Professional qualification preferred: CFA, FRM, or CAIA.
- Prior experience in structured note issuance or product due diligence in Hong Kong is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of financial products: equities, fixed income, structured notes, funds, ETFs, FX, and derivatives.
- Familiarity with SFC/HKMA regulations for product distribution and note issuance in Hong Kong.
- Proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg; Python or data analytics tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams across Compliance, Legal, Technology, and client-facing teams.
