Detroit Recovery Project is seeking a compassionate, organized, and driven Case Manager to support individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Who We Are:
Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare. Our program philosophy is rooted in developing a healthy recovery ecosystem for those seeking long-term recovery. Through strong therapeutic relationships, we help individuals understand the underlying social and emotional factors that drive substance use. The recovery ecosystem focuses on five key areas: Health & Wellness, Spirituality, Employment, Education/Training, and Family & Recovery Support.
What We’re Looking For:
DRP is currently seeking a full-time Case Manager. In this role, you will provide person-centered case management services, support care coordination, and connect individuals to critical resources that promote stability, recovery, and long-term success. You will play a key role in addressing social determinants of health, supporting clients through their first 90 days of programming, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
Compensation: This position has a pay range of $50,000-$52,000 per year. Compensation will be based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. This role is salaried-exempt.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Provide person-centered case management services to individuals with substance use and mental health needs
- Conduct assessments and provide intensive support during the first 90 days of programming
- Develop individualized service plans based on client goals, strengths, and needs
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including clinicians, medical staff, and external partners
- Assist clients in accessing community resources, including housing, employment, and healthcare services
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake paperwork and electronic case files
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to clients throughout their recovery journey
- Monitor client progress and adjust service plans as needed
- Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate intervention when necessary
- Support the use of tools and resources that enhance client independence and recovery
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management, behavioral health, or a related field
- Licensure preferred: LLBSW, LBSW, LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, or LPC
- MCBAP certification preferred: CAADC-DP or CAADC, or willingness to obtain CAADC upon hire
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, mental health services, and community resources
- Familiarity with Wayne County PIHP processes preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to build trusting relationships with diverse populations
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Pay Range: $45,000 - $50,000 per hour
