Maintenance Technician

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Avani team members always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

• Assign the engineering team according to daily work schedule, to handle planned maintenance and respond to guest requests and emergency situations.

• Supervise the engineering team in the effective completion of their duties 

• Work with other operational departments to ensure that they have all required engineering support to perform their duties.

• Guest Rooms Maintenance according to required standards.

• Responsible for fire safety of the hotel procedure 

• Close coordinate with all other departments of the hotel to maintain their equipment in day-to-day operation.

• Supervise work of external contractors on behalf of the hotel. Support external inspectors in the execution of their inspections.

• Tools – to clean lubricate, protect and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel.

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in general maintenance and repair processes.
• Proficiency in using tools, appliances, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and manual dexterity.
• Good physical condition and ability to work extended hours when required.
