The Role: Reporting to the ETS, APAC Regional General Manager, we are seeking a meticulous, highly organized Financial Controller whose expertise will be highly valued to oversee all accounting and reporting activities across the APAC region. The Financial Controller will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting records, regulatory compliance, and the production of accurate financial statements. The ideal candidate is a technical accounting expert with a deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS and a strong control mindset, eager to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment. Additionally, this position offers an opportunity to develop strong professional and leadership skills, while being part of an ambitious, growing regional and global team. The Financial Controller position supports a wide range of internal teams; ideally, you possess strong communication skills in both the local language and English. Your Responsibilities: Oversee the entire month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare and issue timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers. Manage customer supplier credits and payment collections. Develop, implement, and monitor robust internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policy standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and manage the annual audit process. Manage tax planning and compliance, working closely with external tax advisors. Research and implement new accounting standards, ensuring their proper application. Handle complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition. Manage and optimize the accounting system and other financial applications. Continuously improving accounting processes for efficiency accuracy and establishing effective financial controls. Other tasks as required. Our Requirements: A degree in Financial Accounting or equivalent experience. A CPA license, an MBA, or experience in public accounting is desirable. At least 10+ years of professional and relevant working experience; must know computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software. A strong communicator with a high proficiency in the native language and English speaking. Deep, hands-on expertise in US GAAP / IFRS and financial reporting. Extensive experience with the audit process. Strong knowledge of the internal controls framework. Detail-oriented, organized, and possesses a high level of integrity. Strong PC skills, including MS Office, JDE Experience, and MRP Experience. Working experience in analyzing and complying with policies and procedures, governmental regulations, and employment laws. Working experience in calculating figures and percentages while solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Experience interpreting a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. A collaborative team player who takes initiative and is comfortable operating independently and with a team.
