Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and organized Field Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day field operations, support project execution, and help drive operational performance across multiple jobs and crews. This role is responsible for coordinating field personnel, managing project schedules, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and maintaining strong communication between field operations, customers, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and can successfully balance operational oversight, customer service, scheduling, and project management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support field crews across multiple active projects and service calls
Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution
Monitor project progress, job costs, scheduling, and overall field productivity
Work closely with project managers, estimators, and office staff to ensure smooth project flow from start to finish
Assist with planning and prioritizing emergency service work and changing field demands
Maintain strong communication with customers regarding project status, scheduling, and field activities
Ensure crews are following company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
Conduct job site visits and provide field support, coaching, and problem resolution as needed
Help identify operational improvements that increase efficiency, accountability, and profitability
Support billing accuracy through proper documentation, field reporting, and job tracking
Assist with employee development, training, and performance management of field personnel
Maintain professionalism and represent the company positively with customers, vendors, and team members
Qualifications
Previous experience supervising field operations, construction crews, service technicians, or similar operations teams
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Experience with scheduling, project coordination, and operational planning
Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively in the field
Working knowledge of construction, utility, water, pump, mechanical, or industrial service operations preferred
Proficient with basic computer systems, email, spreadsheets, and project tracking tools
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Preferred Experience
Experience in water systems, pump systems, utility construction, or related infrastructure work
Experience managing emergency or fast-response service work
Familiarity with job costing, project billing, and operational reporting
OSHA or other safety training certifications are a plus
