Job Description
The Cost Analyst is responsible for downloading, analyzing, and managing system reports, as well as executing adjustments derived from engineering changes, bill of materials (BOM), cycle counts, and physical inventories, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and control.
Responsibilities
Support the preparation and consolidation of the annual standard cost.
Monitor and follow up on cost changes driven by engineering updates.
Prepare and analyze weekly Inventory and PPV reports.
Perform inventory adjustments due to discrepancies, engineering changes, obsolescence, among others.
Provide support in cost maintenance and updates.
Track and control Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
Post journal entries and support month-end closing activities.
Perform inventory reconciliations.
Support internal and external audits.
Maintain updated documentation for the area.
Execute the annual cost roll process in the system.
Review and validate cycle counts.
Manage intercompany (IC) inventory invoice requests.
Participate in the annual physical inventory.
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
Participate in EHS-related programs, training sessions, and activities.
Report unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, incidents, or illnesses.
Comply with safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Job Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree completed
Field of Study: Public Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience:
Desirable experience in administrative areas
Preferably within the manufacturing industry
Competencies
Advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting
Financial data analysis
Effective communication
Compliance with rules and procedures
