Position Summary

The Application Administrator has responsibility for providing support for applications in the South Jersey Industries application portfolio.  The Workday Financials and Integrations individual will work with the financial teams by assisting with configuring, testing, advising and supporting the financial modules implemented as deemed appropriate serving as a liaison between both internal and external customers. This position will provide solutions on how to leverage Workday’s Finance modules along with Integrations, including EIB and Cloud Connect interfaces, and increase the system’s proficiencies to increase the ROI of the business.

Essential Functions:

  • Configure Workday Financial modules based on the client requirements
  • Meet with Workday partners to build/test solutions
  • Serve as liaison between business customers and systems areas
  • Identify risks and determine solutions
  • Perform weekly duties processing time files for critical/time sensitive union employee payroll
  • Understand and deliver Workday custom reporting solutions to customers via Report Writer
  • Leverage strong analytical skills to translate client business rules into functional business requirements
  • Analyze, configure, test and implement the functional aspects of Workday projects and enhancements
  • Lead Workday Financial module review sessions, requirement gathering session facilitate requirements meetings, development walk through, and user acceptance testing sessions with the client
  • Deliver functional specifications/requirements to customers
  • Deliver quality test scenarios and test scripts
  • Coordinate and perform all testing of system changes with process owners
  • Provide solutions based on the client requirements detailing advantages and disadvantages and provide recommendation based on the industry best practice
  • Perform user administration and security management
  • Secure data level access guarding against inappropriate access and segregation of duty violations
  • Write and maintain Financial based inbound/outbound EIB integrations with custom reports and XSLT
  • Stay current on latest training on Workday financial and integration modules including applicable Cloud Connect interfaces
  • Collaborate and lead other consultants and the quality assurance teams to develop and test significant new functionality and enhancements
  • Excel in development activities such as configuring, testing, documentation and maintenance support within the implementation of customized solutions
  • Provide accurate LOE estimations and target completion dates about the specific area of expertise
  • Maintain knowledge of standard Workday business practices, development life cycle, data migration and interfaces to third party vendors
  • Support business users 24*7
  • Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, system coding, testing, changes, and corrections in accordance with policy and SOX auditing compliance
  • Write and maintain How-To articles in support of day-to-day operational duties and configuration changes
  • Prepare Workday workbooks on the behalf of the customer
  • Recommends new solutions and upgrades in alignment with strategic plans and business requirements
  • Help prepare training documentation on the Workday Financial modules

Qualifications

Required Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology with 5 years of relevant experience, or;
  • Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Skills:

  • Workday Integrations/Reporting: (EIB, XML, XSL, Studio, RaaS, O4I, SOAP, Advanced, Composite)
  • Workday Financial Management experience in other financial management systems
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday or other financial business systems
  • Financial business systems role-based security administration
  • Creating and maintaining financial and payroll-based integrations
  • Deployment of periodic vendor releases to business systems
  • Deploying and maintaining business processes, including conditional step logic triage and changes
  • Project delivery/management
  • Problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong customer service
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative and always seeking new solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse group of customers
  • Ability to learn new content areas and new skills quickly and well

Preferred Background:

  • Financial accounting experience, certifications or degree is a plus

    Compensation Range:

    $97,875 - 156,600

    We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
