Job Summary
24 hrs per Sunday Wed. and FriProvides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by enforcing hospital security policies, conducting routine patrols, and identifying potential safety and security risks. Delivers excellent customer service while responding to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
Key responsibilities include:
Patrol assigned areas to deter crime, prevent loss, and ensure safety.
Identify and report unsafe conditions, security breaches, and potential hazards.
Investigate incidents, complaints, thefts, and suspected criminal activity; coordinate with law enforcement when necessary.
Detain or arrest suspects when authorized under State Special Police authority.
Assist with patient restraints, medical emergencies, workplace and domestic violence situations, and dignitary protection.
Monitor and dispatch security personnel using integrated security and communication systems.
Control pedestrian and vehicle traffic and respond to emergency calls.
Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard evidence, valuables, and property in custody.
Prepare accurate reports, maintain incident logs, and keep supervisors informed of significant events.
Participate in court proceedings, departmental committees, task forces, and special projects as required.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Criminal Justice preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License]
Experience
Experience in hospital, security/police, emergency medical or customer services 3-5 years preferred
