Field Sampling Technician (QLD)

We are seeking a Field Sampling Technician to join our Environmental team based in Chinchilla, QLD.

In this hands-on role, you will carry out environmental and occupational hygiene sampling across gas, water, soil, air, and waste, while supporting the delivery and growth of our field services.

Working closely with the Australian Field Services Manager, you will assist in planning and executing field programs, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.

This role will primarily involve travel within Queensland; however, candidates must be available for occasional interstate travel as required.

This role also requires the ability to drive a manual vehicle.

What you’ll be doing

• Conduct environmental and occupational hygiene sampling across Australia in line with company procedures
• Maintain and calibrate sampling equipment, ensuring servicing and documentation are up to date
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients
• Support quoting and project coordination for field programs
• Prepare permit applications and HSE documentation for site access
• Assist with client enquiries and technical requests
• Review reports and results prior to release to clients

About you

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in field sampling or a related role
• Understanding of laboratory practices and sample handling
• Current First Aid certificate
• Unrestricted manual driver’s licence
• Willingness to travel interstate when required
