Job Description
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Facilities Supervisor (FS) provides operational oversight and leadership for facilities activities across Carter BloodCare (CBC) locations in North Texas, in support of department management. This role serves as a key contributor within the Facilities and Fleet departments and partners collaboratively with internal teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
The FS develops and executes short- and long-term departmental goals, oversees assigned service contracts, and coordinates facilities-related initiatives with internal departments and external agencies. This position exercises independent judgment in managing complex operational matters and delivers responsive, solutions-oriented support to meet organizational needs.
The FS exemplifies and champions CBC Core Values and Code of Conduct, and adheres to CBC policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To support ongoing development and organizational goals, the FS is required to attend meetings and training sessions, as assigned.
Periodic to regular travel between assigned work areas to support other locations/projects in CBC service areas is required. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (as specified in the current Vehicle Safety Loss Control Guidelines), are required.
Exempt employees are expected to maintain availability beyond stand business hours when business needs arise. The FS is required to respond to calls within two hours. Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of documented mechanical, electrical, or construction training
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience
- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of the use of industry-related tools and equipment
- Ability to follow instructions (e.g., verbal, written)
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge
