Overview:

Performs physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Unpacks and verifies goods against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, and rejects unsatisfactory items. Packages and prepares products for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers, and on manufacturing lines.  Positions are also known as warehouse associates, shipping and receiving associates, pick-packs, or store clerks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Materials & Compliance:

  • Support receiving, stocking, and shipping functions, including document verification, inventory placement, and system updates.
  • Ensure proper management of hazardous waste materials, including collection, labeling, documentation, and shipment coordination.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards by monitoring chemical usage and replenishing stock as required.
  • Assist in the preparation and shipment of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Manage direct and indirect inventory, focusing on accuracy, control, and optimization of on-hand stock.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase on-time inventory performance and operational efficiency.
  • This job is performed 100% onsite
  • Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jacks, and other materials handling equipment
  • Participates as a key member of the site Emergency Response Team (ERT)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • A shift schedule (6am to 6pm; Sunday-Wednesday): some overtime required, including weekends, and the ability to respond to emergencies as needed
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to work continuously in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks within a cross-functional team setting

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, AS degree or 2-4 years of equivalent experience preferred
  • Valid California Driver’s License to operate a forklift.
  • Computer skills: able to use Microsoft Suite – Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • A fast learner, able to adapt to the culture and the technology; self-motivated, able to multitask, pay attention to detail, and able to work with minimal supervision once trained

Pay Range:

N30-USA-1 :$24.80 - $31.00
