Job Description

Responsibilities

Performs coding/DRG and abstracting functions for medical records, quality assessment and billing purposes. Codes all medical records with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes. Abstracts key data elements according to medical record review criteria. Performs coding quality assurance as needed.

Qualifications

Education Required

· High School Diploma/GED required

Education Preferred

· Post high school education in anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology preferred.
