Lead and shape the external environment and access strategy for Sandoz Hungary by owning the public affairs agenda and co-owning pricing, reimbursement, tender strategy development and execution. Support sustainable and profitable volume and value growth across business units by driving patient access, competitive and sustainable pricing, and a favourable policy environment. Lead, manage and develop the performance of the Public Affairs, Market Access & Pricing team, support the development of the Sandoz portfolio to deliver business objectives. Major Accountabilities
- Build and lead a high-performing Market Access / Pricing / PA organization
- Define, develop and implement short, medium and long-term strategic external environment shaping, policy initiatives and access strategy in line with strategy
- Monitor external environment, policy dynamics and trends, conduct regular reviews against plan and take corrective actions as required
- Drive Sandoz product access and uptake in collaboration with Business Unit Heads
- Develop strong functional capabilities and succession pipeline
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and external orientation
- Establish and manage effective strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Follow Good Practices (GxP), corporate policies, procedures, and local law
- Undertake confidentiality requirements
- Collect and report Adverse Events in accordance with Sandoz’ standards and local law / requirements
- Continuously improve and share knowledge
- Represent the company in an exemplary way
Role specific
- Define and execute public affairs strategy aligned with objectives and priorities
- Shape external environment to support biosimilar uptake and sustainable generics market
- Position Sandoz as a trusted partner in healthcare sustainability and advocate the Sandoz value narrative for positive healthcare system impact
- Lead and build engagement and strategic relationships with government stakeholders (e.g. Ministry of Health, NEAK, NNGYK), chambers, industry, patient, HCP associations, etc. on policy, access and pricing
- Translate external developments, monitor payer policies and proactively adapt strategies and provide actionable business recommendations
- Co-develop pricing, access, and tender strategies with Commercial Business Unit Heads
- Partner with Commercial BU Heads and their teams to drive patient access, penetration and uptake of biosimilars and generics in Hungary
- Lead high-value negotiations with payers and procurement bodies
- Maximize tender success rate and portfolio positioning
- Ensure alignment between commercial objectives and access agenda
- Act as a strategic challenger to optimize business decisions
- Partner with Sandoz colleagues and HULT in continued development of an agile, customer-led, and efficient approach to meet evolving business, customer and patient’s needs
- Lead the team, managing people-management related processes (e.g., recruiting, performance management, coaching, etc.) in support of capability, talent pipeline development of reporting colleagues and wider organization
- Ensure alignment with all Ethics, Risk & Compliance policies
- Reporting technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Sandoz products as per requirements

· Market access success, e.g., biosimilar uptake and penetration, etc.
- Contribution to success of top & bottom-line financial results in accordance with annual targets
- Timely and best quality implementation of public affairs strategy
- External influence, leadership roles and relationships with industry associations and KOLs
- Strategic execution, e.g., access and public affairs strategy, pricing frameworks, tender success, etc.
- Effective team management (high engagement, motivation, commitment of team members as measured by OurVoice survey, talent and capability development, succession planning, team turnover, etc.)
Ideal Background
Education and Qualifications
- University degree
- Postgraduate degree – preferred
Languages
- Hungarian – fluent
- English – fluent
Experience
- Extensive experience in Public Affairs in Hungary and ideally other European markets in life sciences
- Extensive experience in Market Access, Pricing in Hungary in life sciences
- Strong track record in payer negotiations and tender environments
- Experience in biosimilars / generics strongly preferred
- Proven leadership and team development experience

Compensation Structure & Criteria:
Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.
Job location: Budapest, Hungary
Starting monthly pay range: 1 555 950 - 2 889 620 HUF gross
Complimentary compensation: 500.000 HUF gross cafeteria per year
Variable compensation: Short term incentive
