Intern – Real Estate Project Manager I

Salary: $17.50 hourly
General Description and Classification Standards:
A college student to support basic real estate leasing and property management activities.
Supervision Received:
This position reports to the Director of Real Estate or senior staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists with organizing and maintaining real estate files, lease documents, and correspondence.
- Supports the preparation and updating of real property inventory reports.
- Conducts basic data entry and ensures accuracy of property-related information in internal tracking systems.
- Help review lease terms, key dates, and critical clauses under guidance from the Director of Real Estate or senior staff.
- Helps prepare presentations, reports, and spreadsheets for meetings.
- Assists in tracking lease renewals, expirations, and other important deadlines.
- Provide general administrative support to the real estate team.

• Currently enrolled in college or university
• Interest in real estate, property management, finance, business, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated, comfortable asking questions
Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework in real estate, business, finance, or economics
- Experience with data entry, administrative roles
Licensures and Certifications Preferred:
None

Work Schedule:
This position follows the City’s hybrid work schedule policy as assigned by the Department of Human Resources Commissioner and requires in-person work at City worksites/facilities at least four (4) days per week, with the option to work remotely one (1) day per week, based on eligibility, departmental needs, and supervisor approval. The hybrid work schedule is subject to change at any time to five (5) days in-person work.
