What You’ll Do 🚘
The Accounting Assistant II keeps accounting records accurately and compiles information requested by Office Manager and others pertaining to accounting.
Your day may include:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely posting across all stores.
- Identify, track, and post all funding notices accurately.
- Monitor and reconcile manufacturer receivables and incentive payments.
- Track and manage donation-related payments and records.
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Post general ledger entries and reconcile assigned schedules.
- Review internal repair orders (ROs) for accuracy and proper accounting treatment.
- Assist with sales tax returns.
- Assist with flooring reconciliations (vehicle inventory financing).
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain travel reimbursement records.
- Perform filing, scanning, and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate workflow.
- Participate in ongoing training across administrative functions.
What We’re Looking For ✅
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Two years of accounting experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have great attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Three years accounting experience in the auto industry or Accounting degree preferred but not required.

A Few Things to Know
The Accounting Assistant II position is mostly sedentary. They will primarily work at a desk in the admin office. They will be required to use office machinery, such as computer, copier, scanner, postage machine, and 10-key. Occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds required. They will be required to fill in for other positions in the absence of other admin staff. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screening.
