We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.
This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.
THE ROLE
As a Test Development Engineer, you’ll be focused on test development, validation, and manufacturing test design for Everpure’s server and storage products. In this role, you will define manufacturing test coverage and develop test software across PCBA (L6) and system-level (L10) environments throughout the new product introduction (NPI) lifecycle. Collaborating closely with Design Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams, you will turn complex engineering designs into reliable, high-yielding production realities. This is a high-impact position where your technical insights directly safeguard product quality and accelerate time-to-market.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Establish Manufacturing Test Strategy: Define comprehensive structural and functional testing strategies across all NPI and production stages to maximize manufacturing test coverage and production efficiency.
- Develop Software & Infrastructure: Design, develop, and maintain standardized manufacturing test software and scripting tools while partnering with the Test Infrastructure team to deploy hardware test stations and production test racks.
- Lead Hardware Debugging: Drive root-cause analysis, hardware validation, and debugging activities within complex manufacturing test environments to resolve technical roadblocks swiftly.
- Own Technical Documentation: Author and maintain rigorous manufacturing test documentation, including detailed test requirements, validation reports, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and repair documentation.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with hardware design, quality, and contract manufacturing teams to ensure operational readiness and smooth transitions throughout the product lifecycle.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Manufacturing Test Expertise: Deep understanding of L6 (PCBA-level) and L10 (system-level) manufacturing processes and functional test (FCT) development for computing or storage architectures.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Robust hands-on experience with hardware debugging, lab instrumentation, and optimizing manufacturing test environments.
- Software & Scripting Capabilities: Proven experience developing, maintaining, and releasing test software or automation scripts utilizing Python or equivalent languages.
- Technical Documentation Discipline: Strong technical writing skills with an ability to clearly translate complex technical processes into structured test plans, manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated ability to influence and align outcomes across organizational boundaries, specifically interfacing between Design Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
