Job Description
Position: Host person
Department: Restaurant
Purpose: To ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures, in accordance with Omni Standards.
Reports to: Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Assistant Manager
Essential Functions:
Assist managers in opening and closing.
Answering phone calls.
Seating guests.
Control heavy volume at Restaurant entrance.
Knowledge of hotel property.
Attend to and anticipate guests needs.
Familiarization with menu.
Introduce server to guest.
Greeting guests.
Knowledge of daily specials.
Assign guest checks.
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

Computer and printer , telephone, pen/pencil
Working Environment:
Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.
Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
Exposure to food items and beverages.
