• Location: St. Joseph's Hospital, 3001 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33677
• Status: Fulltime
• Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person 

Summary:

The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include: 

• Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills 
• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team 
• Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization 
• Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members 
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned 

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 2 years Operating Room experience as an RN. Charge experience is preferred. Board running experience is preferred. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Specific Skills: 

• Clinical skills appropriate to position 
• Interpersonal skills 

 Certifications and Licensures: 

• BLS (Basic Life Support) 
• RN (Registered Nurse) 
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department 
• Preferred Nurse Specialty 

 Education: 

• Bachelor's Nursing or Associate's Nursing and Bachelor's Science in related field or Associate's Nursing and RN Certification in related field
