Work Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7p-7a.
- Leads daily phlebotomy and specimen-processing operations by coordinating workload assignments, troubleshooting service concerns, and ensuring timely specimen flow with STAT and alert specimens prioritized ahead of routine testing.
- Performs accurate venipuncture and microtainer collections, verifies proper specimen labeling and order receipt, and serves as a role model for professional phlebotomy practice.
- Ensures compliance with laboratory safety, infection control, and chemical hygiene standards, including PPE use, hand hygiene, hazardous waste transport, and proper chemical handling procedures.
- Supports staff development through department orientation, training of laboratory staff and students, mentoring new employees, and maintaining competency documentation.
- Assists leadership with workflow management, problem resolution, and continuous operational support while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and service.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. [Required]

• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English. [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. [Required]
• Phlebotomy (venipuncture and capillary). [Required]
Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program preferred
Work Experience:
• 6 months phlebotomy experience [Required]
• 6 months experience in AdventHealth Lab [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]
•Phlebotomy Technician (PBT(ASCP)) [Preferred]
Pay Range:
