Position Summary
In this role, you will provide technical leadership and strategic oversight to the logistics and supply chain operations within the Cedar Rapids, IA facility. By integrating the disciplines of Industrial Engineering and Project Management, you will be responsible for optimizing the flow of materials, managing complex logistics projects, and eliminating bottlenecks to ensure seamless product delivery. This role serves as a critical bridge between production planning and final delivery, driving continuous improvement through technical guidance and disciplined project execution.
This position is on first shift working a 5/40 schedule-Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm.
In this Industrial Engineer / Project Manager (Logistics) role, you will make impacts in the following ways:
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of logistics improvement projects by managing scopes, timelines, and cross-functional teams. Optimize material flow and warehouse utilization to maximize asset efficiency and reduce lead times. Resolve complex technical challenges by collaborating with design and manufacturing engineering to integrate shipping and handling requirements into the product lifecycle.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Industrial Tech or equivalent
- Entry level or start of career working in a manufacturing environment supporting safety, quality, cost and delivery.
- Experience with managing projects related to continuous improvements, capital investments and product line moves
- Experience with the aerospace and defense industry (AS9100 standards)
- Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies (Green Belt Certification is a plus)
- Experience with executing rate changes and plant layout initiatives
- Experience with project management, capital equipment acquisition, and onboarding software
- Logistics experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $72150 - $122655

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
