Job Overview
We are hiring a dependable and safety-focused Preventive Maintenance Technician for a growing manufacturing facility in Conover, NC. This role is responsible for supporting preventative maintenance activities, equipment inspections, lubrication, minor repairs, and maintenance documentation in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Ideal candidates will have mechanical experience, basic electrical knowledge, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Clean, inspect, and document machinery and components
- Verify oil levels and add oil when necessary
- Clean and lubricate chains
- Replace grease lines and broken air lines
- Grease bearings and replace filters
- Change belts, oil filters, and air filters
- Identify worn or damaged components
- Identify and clean up oil leaks
- Remove and reinstall machine guards safely
- Maintain accurate inspection and maintenance records using a tablet
- Create work orders (WO’s) for needed repairs
- Follow maintenance checklists and safety procedures
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical training or hands-on mechanical experience
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Safety training or industrial safety experience
- Ability to use tablets or electronic systems for documentation
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical training or troubleshooting experience
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance
- LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) training or experience
