Anti-Financial-Crime (AFC) Technology is a 1000-person organization responsible for ~€90m annual change book of work across 8 key areas and the major locations are London, Frankfurt, Pune, Bucharest, and New York.

The key responsibility for AFC Technology is to partner with the Compliance & Anti-Financial-Crime (C-AFC) functions to deliver data and platforms to cover a wide range of Compliance and Financial Crime Risk Controls, including Transaction Monitoring, Trade Surveillance, Employee Compliance, Name List Screening, Transaction Screening and others.

Reporting to the C-AFC Compliance Data Partner, lead complex data transformation and governance initiatives across C-AFC, driving strategic outcomes across data management, controls, lineage, data quality and regulatory remediation. Act as a senior advisor to business, technology and data leaders, shaping solutions and influencing delivery across multiple programmes. A key element of your role will be to support the development of the Business/Data Partnership function in the C-AFC Divisional Data Office.

Your key responsibilities

  • Strategic Delivery: Own the definition, shaping and execution of strategic data initiatives, providing thought leadership and driving delivery across complex, cross-functional programmes ensuring alignment to Group Key Deliverable programme objectives
  • Prioritisation & Coordination: Drive decision-making across competing priorities, providing leadership and challenge to senior stakeholders to ensure delivery of strategic objectives and regulatory commitments
  • Business Analysis: Lead problem definition, operating model design and target-state solution architecture across data management and regulatory change initiatives
  • Leadership: Support the operation of the C-AFC Data Transformation Programme Office, ensuring all Group KD programme obligations and regulatory commitments are met
  • Collaboration: Drive close collaboration with key stakeholders and senior leaders to ensure quality delivery of benefits within agreed budget, resources, and timeframe
  • Regulatory Delivery: Support delivery of regulatory commitments relating to data management, lineage, controls, governance and risk remediation, ensuring high-quality evidence and sustainable operating models

Your skills and experience

  • Transformation delivery: Extensive experience delivering end-to-end projects within complex transformation or change programmes, ideally in banking
  • Programme leadership: Senior experience defining, operating and driving material programmes of work
  • Data and technology transformation: Experience across data management and IT transformation initiatives with strong understanding of data governance, data quality, lineage and control frameworks
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Business analysis: Strong skills in process mapping, requirements definition and solution design
  • Stakeholder management: Strong ability to build trust, manage expectations and align competing priorities, and ability to structure ambiguous problems and develop executive-ready recommendations
