Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement security test strategies for SSD firmware across all product phases
- Design and execute grey-box and white-box tests for security features and protocols
- Perform deep root-cause analysis on security failures from regressions, customer issues, and field escapes
- Drive test automation, regression integration, and quality reporting
- Collaborate closely with firmware teams on secure design reviews and issue isolation
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on test methodologies and debugging
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of SSD architecture and PCIe / NVMe protocols
- Experience with NVMe command sets, firmware lifecycle, and update flows
- Proficiency in Python-based test automation and embedded systems
- Hands-on experience in firmware validation and system-level debugging

• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
AI Requirements:
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes
Preferred Security Expertise Knowledge of security standards and technologies such as TCG, NVMe security, SPDM, secure boot, cryptography, FIPS, and hardware Root of Trust architectures is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in SSD firmware testing or development, with security validation experience preferred
