As Demand Planner you will be responsible for developing and embedding a robust market and channel specific demand planning process to support the operating model. You will also manage the end to end demand planning across all categories to improve customer service levels and reduce end to end working capital.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
Manage the Demand Planning process across all categories
Maintain a detailed knowledge of all components of the Demand Forecast, statistical baseline, promotion and repacking uplifts, and cannibalization effects
Support the sales and marketing intelligence, new product introductions, consumption, stock in trade, and market data
Ensure full volume and value alignment of market Demand Forecast
Interpret the key trends impacting the market, sector, category, and brand performance
Lead Demand Planning input into the key Market Core Commercial Cycle meetings and 3/1 planning cycle with responsibility for the delivery of a detailed volume budget
Challenge the sales forecast and ensure that the volume and value forecast are aligned
Facilitate alignment and verification of sell-out and Stock in trade evaluations
Lead an effective product lifecycle management process
Lead process to clear residual and slow-moving stocks within the commercial teams
Partner with Finance on the definition of the financial plan
Provide expert Demand Planning input into the Customer Supply Chain Lead and develop effective working relationships with in-Market Warehouse & Distribution, Customer Service, and Local Customization teams
Build a strong network of contacts with senior managers in the Commercial, Supply Planning, and Category teams
Lead Demand Planning expertise across the scope
Share and agree with Medical Marketing the forecast for samples and align with the in-market Supply team regarding productions and deliveries
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
3+ years’ experience in demand or finance planning preferrably in FMCG industry
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Master’s degree
Understanding of sales / commercial processes
Understanding of supply planning and customer service processes
SAP /Planning systems experience
IBP experience is a plus
Excellent organization, managerial, and multi-tasking skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and build cross-functional partnerships across the organization
Proficiency in excel is a must & PBI knowledge is plus
Good oral and written English communication skills
