Functions as a resource person to Case Managers and agency resource families about adoption and permanency issues
Works with foster care and adoptive families regarding adoption and permanency issues
Assists in the planning, coordinating, and participation in events aimed at promoting and/or celebrating adoption and permanency
Provide SWAN services to families and children
Performs additional duties as assigned

The Permanency Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring children and families achieve stable, permanent living situations, with a focus on long-term well-being and safety. This position works collaboratively with social workers, families, and community partners to develop and implement permanency plans for children in foster care, adoption, or other family reunification scenarios. The specialist will also assess and support the progress of families in achieving reunification or other permanent placements, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred within the human service field and/or two years’ experience working with children and/or families
- Valid Driver’s License
- State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearances are required for this position and will be paid for by the agency
