The Role
As a Billing Analyst (Portuguese Language) within the Working Capital team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely generation, submission and dispatch of client invoices across the firm. Reporting to the Working Capital Manager, you’ll work closely with Partners, lawyers, regional finance teams and Credit Control to support effective billing and collection processes.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced professional services environment, has strong attention to detail, and is confident communicating across jurisdictions. You will support complex, multi‑jurisdictional billing requirements, ensure compliance with client SLAs, and participate in billing review meetings with Partners, contributing directly to the firm’s working capital performance.
Advanced Portuguese language skills are essential, supporting billing activity and stakeholder communication for Portuguese‑speaking jurisdictions.
Essential Skills & Experience
Technical & Professional Experience
Experience working in a Billing Analyst or similar finance role within a law firm or professional services environment (desirable)
Experience using Elite 3E, Elite Enterprise or a comparable practice management system
Strong understanding of billing processes, matter maintenance and invoice lifecycle
Experience submitting bills via e‑Billing platforms and managing billing queries
Skills & Attributes
Excellent attention to detail with a consistently high level of accuracy
Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
Intermediate MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced Portuguese language skills (essential)
Confident communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including Partners
Team‑focused, flexible and willing to support peak workloads when required
