The mobile Medical Assistant will assist Audiologists/Facility Staff in performing basic hearing screenings, hearing aid servicing, and administrative duties related to clinic operations. These duties are performed under the supervision of Facility Staff. 

This is a 100% traveling position: Medical assistants are needed in the following areas (Dallas, TX)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Help patients realize the possibilities of better hearing.
  • Pick up documentation from assigned facilities
  • Read and interpret basic screening results, screening otoscopy, as well as basic hearing aid function and specifications recognizing common problems and alerts the facility Staff.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot audiometric equipment including cleaning, replacing ear mold tubing, minor hearing instrument repairs, determining need for repair, and performing biologic and electroacoustic checks of hearing instruments.
  • Promotes teamwork and cooperation among co-workers, physicians, and facility management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Always adhere to HIPPA regulations.
  • Participate in staff meetings as required.
  • Patient teaching and care plan support.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as Medical Assistant
  • Must have valid insurance
  • 1-2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant Preferred
  • Ability to relate well to patients and staff
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team

 Compensation: $20-25 hourly
